Mulligan Township Home >
Mulligan Township was first settled in 1865 by J. P. Savage and John and Thomas Kelly. The township was named after an early pioneer, likely from Ireland. The township organized on April 26, 1871. Its first officers were Supervisors John Torey, Patrick Stack, Nicholas Schmidt, Clerk A. E. West, Assessor E. J. Collins, Constables John Williams and J. P. Savage, Justices of the Peace Patrick Stack and A. E. West, Overseer of Highways Nicholaus Laux, and Treasurer J. P. Savage. Mulligan Township is entirely agricultural with no towns, villages, or railroads.
